28.06.2006 - Happy Valley

Happy Valley - that's not just a happy little valley, Happy Valley is Hong Kong's race track! And people love to gamble here - they do ;)
I lost 40 HKD - that's around 4 Euro... I didn't risk more :)
But we had fun, although sone other people were gambling hard - not like me: "Haapy Crusader? Nice name, let's bet on him!" Some other people here were serious!!!! (my "smart" book is full of notes on races...!)

That's the race track.

Well, even after the race I couldn't get a sharp image! :)




I'd say, they are just tooooo fast for my camera!




That's why I thought, better take a picture before the start - but our location was not well situated for that - so that's the big screen, where you can follow the race (they are anyway too fast!)




So, Steffi was one of those "that's a good name" in the bginning, but...




I think Kristi infected her with the gambling fever...




..and they became pretty sophisticated in writing down results and I don't know what!!!






Sarah and I just thought, we are going to lean back and look good! ;)







That was a very funny race night :) (good food and drinks - from my side ;))

23.06.2006 - Lehose Trail (Stage 1 + 2)

What do people usually do when there is a very hot day? Yes, they go to the beach....
What do we do? we go hiking!!!! Stupid enough on a "very hot weather"-warning day - see the weather link on the side bar ;)

After hiking 20km in the bright sun - and around lunch, where the sun is NOT NOT at its zenith... nono, it's not hot during noon time.. nono...
...we found the most beautiful beaches of whole Hong Kong!!!!
